EA tries to go as broad as possible with FIFA Mobile

Electronic Arts has struck gold with Madden NFL Football on mobile, where it has consistently been in the top-ten grossing games and making a ton of money. But FIFA Mobile isn’t even in the top 100. If the company can change that, the financial impact could be huge, as FIFA is by far EA’s most valuable sports game franchise, and there’s no reason it shouldn’t grab a bigger part of the $36 billion mobile game industry.

Madden (in its refined form) has had a head start for three years, but FIFA Mobile debuted in October, and it is holding the No. 7 position in the U.S. iOS app store as far as top downloads go. It’s not a bad start for a title that carries such high hopes.

EA has been making FIFA mobile titles for a half-dozen years, but it hasn’t said how many people are playing and making purchases within them. Much of that time has been spent figuring out what works. Just taking a console game and putting it on a mobile device hasn’t been that fruitful. So this year’s FIFA Mobile offering is far different from the popular console entries.

“We’ve realized over time that mobile players don’t want to play long console games on smartphones,” said Todd Batty, senior producer of the game, in an interview. Instead, mobile players want to engage with an app multiple times in a day for a very short time. They want to open it while they’re waiting in line, do something fun, and then close it again as they pick up their coffee.

In past years, EA asked players if they wanted to play with a controller attached or play on the touch screen. This year, it focused on multiple ways to control the game. The players on the pitch will play a game on their own. But you can override the game, tap a player, and execute a play, such as taking a shot by flicking your finger. If you take your fingers off the screen, the game transitions to the players executing the game on their own. On any given session, players switch back and forth a lot, Batty said. Blizzard released the latest patch 1.13.3 of World of Warcraft Classic as scheduled

WoW Classic players are in luck. A good handful of content arrives with patch 1.13.3, including the Battlegrounds, the invasion of the elementals and more. World of Warcraft Classic was a real bombshell when it came out last August. More than a million players saw it on Twitch, and many others entered the game to prove it. The number of players has been reduced, unfortunately, over the months. Many have already tried all the available content, and the arrival of the Massacre did not have a great impact. However, this patch may make a big difference, as very interesting content arrives.

One of the most anticipated features of WoW Classic is finally here. Battlegrounds will be available for all players to fight it out against the opposing faction in dedicated areas. Warsong Gulch is a 10v10 capture-the-flag mode, which generally features short, action-packed games. Meanwhile, Alterac Valley is a massive 40v40 tug-of-war zone, which features quests, objectives, limited respawns, and a large scale tactical element. To enter these Battleground players need to speak with the respective Battlemasters in any capital city, or visit their factions entrances. These are based in Ashenvale and the Barrens for Warsong Gulch, and in the Alterac Mountains for Alterac Valley. To enhance your adventure and compliment your gameplay, you can Buy Vanilla WoW Gold from the reputable sellers 5mmo.com in a safe secure environment and at cheap rates.
World
Across Kalimdor, Blazing, Thundering, Watery, and Whirling Invaders now occasionally appear in Un’goro Crater, Azshara, Winterspring, and Silithus respectively. The elementals appear to be seeing just how far into these territories they can penetrate before being beaten back by the forces of the Horde or the Alliance.

The key button in your micro menu now opens your Keyring, an additional bag for keys only, that scales up to hold up to 12 keys.

Additional updates include:

The lua API has been modified 5.8k to prevent some addons from using communications channels in ways that are contrary to the spirit of the game.
This patch includes client support for the Paid Character Transfer service, which may be enabled at a future date.
The World of Warcraft Classic executable file on your PC has been renamed.

League of Legends Reveals Aphelios’ Abilities in New Trailer

Riot Games has released a champion trailer and a complex kit primer for upcoming League of Legends champion Aphelios. Aphelios will be joining the game as the MOBA’s newest marksman this December. His abilities are far from those of a traditional marksman, though, as he has five different weapons that he uses in both main-hand and off-hand positions. Not only do the different weapons make for different abilities, but they also give different passives and different follow-up attacks to the new hero’s ultimate.

With the new kit, Aphelios has a very different control scheme. His main weapon is attached to a unique Q ability for that weapon and his off-hand weapon can be switched into the main slot with W. His R launches an area-of-effect (AOE) bomb after which he follows up with enhanced attacks from the weapon he has equipped in his main slot. The five weapons run the gamut in their style between poke and harass, healing and shields, crowd control, AOE/waveclear, and damage-per-second (DPS).

As Aphelios has so many abilities attached to three buttons, he doesn’t level up his abilities. Instead, they level up on their own at certain milestones and he instead puts skill points into stats like attack damage, attack speed, and magic/armor penetration. Essentially, we end up with a champ that has custom increasable stats and about 16 different ways to attack enemies (basic attacks, q skills, and ultimate enhanced attacks, plus the ultimate itself).

Outside of the weapons, Aphelios has technically only two abilities in his Q and ultimate. His ultimate is Moonlight Vigil – a moon bomb which explodes when it hits another champion and also damages nearby enemies. After using his ultimate, Aphelios can also shoot enemies caught in the blast with enhanced auto attacks.

The five weapons Aphelios can use are a Calibrum rifle, scythe pistol Severum, cannon Gravitum, flamethrower Infernum and chakram Crescendum. To help keep track of all these different abilities and weapons, there’s also a custom HUD for the character – showing you which weapon is in rotation, the remaining ammo and more. Aphelios is certainly a highly complex champion, but it’ll be interesting to see the tricks players will be able to pull off with such a versatile arsenal. Rocket League will replace randomized loot crates with ‘blueprints’

If you enjoy playing the key market in Rocket League, your days as a used car dealer may be coming to a close. As previously announced, Psyonix and its new owner Epic Games will be ending the key and crate system that has been the primary loot distribution method for some time. Today, they’ve announced what will replace it come December.

There’s more than just Blueprints coming to Rocket League. In the same game update in December, we’ll be introducing a new rotating Item Shop. The Item Shop will offer a wide variety of content including new items, legacy Crate content you might have missed out on, and the long-awaited debuts of items like the Titanium White Dominus. Important note: Item Shop purchases will be bound to your account and cannot be traded.

Items from Blueprints and the Item Shop will be obtained by Credits, our new premium currency replacing Keys. You’ll use Credits to create items from Blueprints, upgrade to Rocket Pass Premium, and buy content from the Item Shop. Esports Tokens will be separate from Credits, and will be the only way to purchase items from the Esports Shop. In addition, if you are in need of Cheap Rocket League Items, you can visit our website 5mmo.com.

Anyway, in Rocket League, Crates will stick around until the December update, and when it does, Rocket League keys will be converted into Credits. Crates, too, will be converted into Blueprints “of the same series,” Pysonix said. Before Crates go, though, there’s one last Crate in Rocket League: the Vindicator Crate, which “will feature the new Sentinel Battle-Car and Neuro-Agitator Goal Explosion.” More details on the Blueprint conversion process will come “in the next few months.”

Psyonix also announced changes to the Trade-In system when Blueprints are added to Rocket League. It’ll “disable the ability to use paid content” in the Trade-In system. Anything from Blueprints, the Item Shop, or Crates won’t be able to be traded once the update goes live. Free post-game drops will still be able to be traded. “We also plan to implement an updated inventory management feature that will allow you to archive items that you don’t want to see in your active list of customization items,” Psyonix said.

The Rocket League Blueprints have been detailed by Psyonix

Rocket League will change how upgrades and rewards work next month when Crates are replaced by Blueprints. Paid Crates are on their way out, and Blueprints will use a new premium currency, Credits (which are replacing Keys). Blueprints will let you see exactly what they’re going to build, so it’s always clear what you’re getting for your money. This will take some of the randomness out of the loot game in Rocket League.

At some point in December, Rocket League will receive an update that replaces randomized loot crates with Blueprints. After each online game, you’ll be given the chance to grab a blueprint for a specific item, which you can create immediately using credits, trade with a friend, or save for later. Credits are Rocket League’s new premium currency, which means they can be bought using real-world money. To be clear, the item the blueprint creates will be clearly listed before you choose to obtain it, so there’s a little more transparency with this new system. Furthermore,You can buy Cheap Rocket League Items at 5mmo.com by using the code “5MMO” for a 3% discount.

Psyonix also revealed that you’ll be able to trade credits, the new premium currency you need to unlock blueprints, in certain circumstances. The main takeaway here is that you’ll be swap credits as long as only one player is offering the currency in a trade. Another important restriction is that you can’t offer credits to another player for free — you have to receive something as part of the transaction.

Once the new Blueprint system does go live, your Keys will automatically be converted into Credits the first time you log into Rocket League. Each remaining Crate you have will be converted into a Blueprint of the same series. But before Blueprints go live later this year, the Vindicator Crate will come to Rocket League this Thursday, October 3. This is the final Crate and it will feature the new Sentinel Battle-Car and Neuro-Agitator Goal Explosion.
