How to Catch Tuna in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

There are many different fish to catch in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, including the Tuna. This fish is worth 7000 Bells, making it a very attractive prospect for islanders.

To find the Tuna, you will need to look for fish spawns at the pier. The Tuna has a medium-sized shadow, but that doesn’t guarantee you will catch it, as many fish share this shadow size. The Barreleye will be available to catch all day, from November to April in the Northern Hemisphere, and between May and October in the Southern Hemisphere.Additionally, ACNH’s Tuna is available all day during these months, which means that players have lots of opportunities to catch one of these fish.

That said, the location where the Tuna in ACNH can appear is very specific, as it only spawns near piers. This means that players that are looking for a Tuna should fish from the straight wooden platform that extends off of the coast of their island. Additionally, fans can catch a Tuna in New Horizons fishing from the wooden platform with an airport that they land on when visiting a Mystery Island. Once a player has arrived at one of these locations, they should then throw fish bait off of the end of the pier until a very large shadow spawns. While certainly not everyone of these very large shadows will produce a Tuna.

In summation, players that are trying to catch Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Tuna should fish from piers between the months of November and April in the Northern Hemisphere and between the months of May and October in the Southern Hemisphere. They should use fish bait to spawn very large shadows and catch any fish of that size until they have bagged a Tuna. While this may take a bit of time, as the fish is somewhat rare, it will come eventually, and it can then be sold at Nook’s Cranny for 7,000 Bells.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting two free events next month this month

Easter and Earth Day are both going to be celebrated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ first live events, complete with exclusive items.Animal Crossing: New Horizons has already had one post-launch update, but that was only to fix a bug everyone was using to cheat. The next two updates though will be for proper in-game events.

Announced during the surprise Nintendo Direct Mini, Bunny Day is Animal Crossing’s equivalent of Easter. For those new to the series, Animal Crossing has lots of fictional in-game events based on real world holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, and this will be the first for New Horizons. It will involve Zipper T. Bunny challenging you to dig up (and fish for, oddly) specially hidden eggs which you can then use to create limited time items and furniture.

The first, Bunny Day, had already been announced via the Japanese Nintendo website, but today’s Nintendo Direct Mini revealed it in more detail. Players will receive a visit from Zipper the bunny, who will ask players to collect eggs from the island. Once you’ve, er, fished these eggs out from the sea, you’ll be able to craft lovely decorations with them. Just don’t mind the seaweed smell. In addition, Cheap Animal Crossing New Horizons Wood is on hot sale at our website z2u.com.

Bunny Day will be an annual event, so you’ll want to hop into the game between 1st-12th April or face waiting another year. All you have to do is make sure you’ve downloaded the 1.1.0 update that’s been available since launch.

That isn’t the only free event in April, however, as Nintendo announced a second event arriving later this month. This one’s called Earth Day, and it appears to have something to do with Leif the sloth. That’s all we know for now, but Nintendo says more details will be announced later via the Animal Crossing Twitter account. This is all certainly putting a spring in my step.
